All Bedly payments are made electronically either through credit card or ACH bank transfer.
Part of the website booking process involves setting up a recurring payment method which will automatically be charged each month.
All Bedly renters are required to pay first month's rent, a furniture deposit of $500, and a room deposit equal to 1 month's rent prior to moving into the apartment. A non-refundable $400 holding deposit is required for all renters prior to moving in. This deposit will be applied towards the balance due, however it is not refundable if you later decide not to move into the Bedly unit after making a booking.
Your first payment is due at the time of the booking. The amount due depends on how soon your lease start date is:
If lease start date is within 5 days:
- Total balance (first month's rent, furniture deposit & security deposit) is due upfront
- $400 holding fee (this must be put on a credit card)
- Remaining balance may be through a bank transfer or credit card
If lease start date is more than 5 days away:
- $400 holding deposit is charged at time of the booking
- Remaining balance charged 5 days prior to move-in
Rent each month is charged to your default payment method. You can log into your dashboard at www.bedly.com to update your default payment information at any time.
You will receive an email invoice on the 20th of each month with a breakdown of the amount owed for the following month.
Recurring payments are run on the 25th of each month, in advance. For example, December rent is automatically charged by Bedly on November 25th.
